Leadership Development Programs

Joseph Priestley District
Leadership Development Grant Program

Philosophy:  The Unitarian Universalist Association conducted an Association Sunday Fund Raising Program in the fall of 2007 with a portion of the total money raised in every district being given back in the form of a grant for growth related activities in that district.  The Joseph Priestley District Board has chosen to allocate this restricted fund toward assisting congregations in lay leadership development.  The most pressing need from congregational leaders has been assistance in leadership development.  The fund has been divided into two separate programs – individual scholarship assistance and congregational grants.
