Joseph Priestly District Services The Joseph Priestley District serves congregations, religious professionals, and lay leaders in a variety of ways. District staff and committees assist congregations that are in formation to begin in a healthy manner and reach their full potential. A variety of workshops on topics such as stewardship, healthy congregations, faith development, youth empowerment, antiracism, young adult ministry, worship, music, staff teams, and growth are offered throughout the year in several locations around the district. An active website with resources for congregations is maintained to provide an electronic library to support congregational leaders. A lending library provides religious education curricula and books on church life. Specialized services to congregations are offered including leadership retreats, conflict management, transitions in leadership, training and development for teachers, and professional searches. The District staff stand ready to answer questions, provide guidance and direction, and assist in making our congregations healthy, vibrant centers for our liberal Unitarian Universalist faith. |
