The Monster Supercars Partnership Extends Beyond 2027!
Tickford Racing has just announced a thrilling extension to their partnership with Monster Energy, solidifying their presence in the Repco Supercars Championship until the end of 2027. But here's where it gets controversial... or at least, a little unexpected.
While many teams opt for flashy new liveries each season, Tickford has decided to stick with their tried-and-true Mustang designs for both Cam Waters and Thomas Randle. This decision, according to Tickford CEO Simon Brookhouse, is a testament to their focus on performance and results rather than mere aesthetics.
"Launching both liveries together is a bold statement of intent," Brookhouse explained. "It's a sign of our commitment to our partners and our belief in our team's potential. With Monster Energy's continued support and Castrol's longstanding backing, we're confident we can turn heads and turn laps in 2026."
And this is the part most people miss: it's not just about the cars or the sponsors. It's about the people behind the wheel. Cam Waters, now a proud father, is eager to continue his successful partnership with Monster Energy. "I'm thrilled to be back in the Monster #6," Waters said. "The support I've received from Monster over the years has been incredible, and I'm determined to repay their faith in me by delivering results on the track."
Thomas Randle, on the other hand, is excited to represent the iconic Castrol brand in the 2026 season. "To be associated with a brand that has such a rich history in motorsport is an honor," Randle shared. "Their support means a lot to me and the team, and it's a driving force that pushes us to perform at our best."
But the action doesn't stop there. Waters and Randle will team up this weekend at the Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour, joining forces with Chaz Mostert in a Scott Taylor Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3. Then, it's off to Sydney Motorsport Park for a test day on February 18, followed by the Dunlop Sydney 500 from February 20-22.
So, what do you think? Is Tickford's decision to stick with familiar liveries a sign of confidence or a missed opportunity? And will Waters and Randle's partnership with Monster Energy and Castrol pay off on the track? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
