A bold statement: 'GLP1' tattoo sparks conversations about weight loss and self-transformation. By Susie Rack, West Midlands. A Worcester woman, Sian Robinson, has gained attention for her creative approach to celebrating her weight loss journey. She had 'GLP1' tattooed on her arm, symbolizing the life-changing impact of the Mounjaro slimming injections she's been using since November 2024. Robinson's remarkable 10-stone (63kg) weight loss has not only improved her mental and physical health but also inspired others to share their personal stories. Robinson's journey began with repeated attempts to lose weight and even considering gastric surgery. However, her research led her to the GLP-1 drug, which has been a game-changer. She describes her experience as fantastic, having lost 10 stone 4lbs so far. The tattoo, a colorful design encircled with a heart, has become a conversation starter, drawing attention and personal stories from people across various weight loss journeys. Despite initial concerns about weight regain after stopping the jabs, Robinson's confidence has grown through a health coaching program and conversations with others who have successfully transitioned to maintenance doses. With a wedding in August 2027, Robinson is now aiming to lose another six stone (38.1kg) and feels confident about her ability to achieve this goal with the jab. Her tattooist, who will be one of her bridesmaids, was not surprised by her spontaneous decision to get inked. Robinson's story highlights the transformative power of weight loss and the potential for personal expression through tattoos, sparking conversations and inspiring others on their own journeys.
